Double Trouble's Reese Wynans Revisits 'Crossfire' on First Solo Album << ALL NEWS 

'Crossfire' is the first video from 'Sweet Release', the first solo album by Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member and keyboardist Reese Wynans. The track goes back to the days Reese played with Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble.

"It was great to do that one," the keyboardist tells Billboard. He credits Sweet Release producer Joe Bonamassa, who Wynans has played with for the past five years, with the suggestion to do the track. His brassy take on the song, which Wynans co-wrote, features a reunion with the Double Trouble rhythm section of Tommy Shannon and Chris Layton and guest vocals by Sam Moore, while Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Jack Person play guitar.

Sweet Release also serves as Joe Bonamassa’s inaugural credit as a producer. Bonamassa has long been a fan of Wynans' work, urging him to create a solo album and championing the project as producer. The album will be in stores on March 1st.
