Company Overview

Mascot Label Group is a 100% independently owned and operated record company that is a market leader in the worlds of Rock, Metal and Blues. Originally founded in 1989 in The Netherlands, MLG now operates company offices in New York City, London, Cologne, Paris, and Milan alongside the corporate headquarters in Rotterdam.

The Mascot Label Group consists of individual imprints that include Mascot Records, Provogue Records, Music Theories Recordings, The Player's Club, The Funk Garage and Cool Green Recordings. MLG is a label member of the American Association of Independent Music (A2IM).

Mascot Records primarily issues rock albums, with Black Stone Cherry, DeWolff, Vandenberg, Black Country Communion, P.O.D., VOLA, 10 Years, Shaman's Harvest, Conquer Divide, King Falcon and Storm Orchestra amongst Mascot Record's roster. The label introduced Volbeat to The World, releasing the band's first three studio albums and the DVD Live: Sold Out.

Provogue Records is the market leader in guitar loaded Blues titles and is revered for its support of artists that include Robert Cray, Walter Trout, Beth Hart, Steve Cropper, George Benson and many more. Provogue Records catalog features hundreds of titles, capturing the prolific work of talent that includes e.g. Joe Bonamassa, Gov't Mule featuring Warren Haynes, Eric Johnson, and Kenny Wayne Shepherd.

Music Theories Recordings continues to be a leader in the worlds of progressive and musicianship, with Ayreon and Flying Colors among the highest profile albums released. Additional artists signed to the imprint include Jan Akkerman, Jake Shimabukuro, Paul Gilbert, Earthside and Weather Systems.

Cool Green Recordings houses artists loosely defined in the alternative and cutting edge space. Australian desert rockers Tracer, Dutch stars De Staat, underground favorites Crippled Black Phoenix and Americana rockers Hollis Brown are amongst those defining the breadth of Cool Green Recordings' A&R vision.

This label is home to great and free spirited guitar music and jams. Imagine being in a cool, dark and sweaty club with a couple of great musicians about to start their set… Current artists on The Players Club are TOTO, Steve Lukather, David Paich, Robbie Krieger of the Doors, Michael Landau and Italian guitar prodigy Matteo Mancuso.

The Funk Garage is the funk imprint of Mascot Label Group, with an emphasis on the 1. Maceo Parker, Candy Dulfer, Dumpstaphunk and Ivan Neville released their latest albums on this funky label.

DEMO SUBMISSIONS:

If your band is really, really, really good, and either one of the above labels fits your brand of music, you're welcome to send us your demo via the contact form (click on the red button in the bottom right corner and select 'Demo Submission' from the dropdown menu).

Please submit your best songs that represent you and where you are headed musically via Bandcamp, Youtube, Soundcloud, some other kind of stream. We listen to everything we get (even if it's for 20 seconds). Please don't send us MP3 files. If you send us a download link, we won’t download it. Be sure to include a complete contact address (Name, Artist/Band name, Country, Phone and Email). Include a link to your website and social media channels, if your face is out there. This will help us to get a better feel of who you are and what you have accomplished.

Additional info that might be useful to include:

  • A biography of the band.
  • Press quotes or links to features or reviews.
  • Anything worth knowing about your band, like tour history, collaborations, working with a great producer or recording in a special studio, etc.
Please use your words wisely, don't make it too long for us to read through.

We receive so many demos that it's impossible to respond to each and every one of you. Please don't expect us to get back to you or expect to get back to you if you ask us “what did you think?” or "Have you listened to it yet?". If we do reply to your message or inquiry, for the record, this still doesn’t mean we’re going to work with you but just a sign to show we appreciate your work. Artists and bands rarely get signed to a record company, based on a single demo. Playing live helps too. Get out there, and build your act and your music. Good artists will get noticed!
