The Sky Is Crying
The Sky Is Crying is the fifth studio album of blues man Stevie Ray Vaughan, released posthumously in 1991. This collection of recordings that SRV made between 1984 and 1989 was assembled by his older brother Jimmie Vaughan.
What makes the record work is its eclectic diversity. Vaughan plays slide guitar on "Boot Hill", acoustic on "Life by the Drop" and delivers perhaps the definitive version of Jimi Hendrix' "Little Wing". The album is a stark and emotional reminder that the world lost an incredible talent way too early.
The Sky Is Crying is available on audiophile vinyl.
